From Reading to Creating Harry Potter, an Orientational Approach

Since the advent of Harry Potter, fantasy stories are no longer merely published in book format, but they emerge as brands produced in multiple media. The immersion of young adults into the world of the story has become so deep that they are no longer merely readers, but have become viewers, players and possibly creators participating in the creation of the brand. This paper will discuss how the reader is repositioned by the various media, through the way the remediated Harry Potter text is discoursed, designed, produced and distributed.
